Message MAPecu2 or 3 is a great cost effective option:

It does most of the desired features of a standalone, while still retaining the OEM ecu for comfort/drivability...And installs in a breeze.... this unit provides the majority of the performance gains of a standalone, without the sting of the high upfront cost to go MAP on traditional standalones...

ie:

-MAF-->MAP auto learn (to get you started with little fuss).

-timing map tuneability

-Fuel map tuneability for AFR's

-built in EBC (40+PSI capable)

-Active knock monitoring (you can view where in the map knock was detected, and tune it out yourself). :)

-Intake temp sensor compensation for fuel/timing trims

-Ability to switch between 2 tunes at the flip of a switch (Much like other vendors offer for the crap MAF system)

++ All the additional benefits of going MAP that others have already outlined.
